Shen herbs for mood, calming, focus and deep meditation:

According to Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) - 'Shen' is the third treasure of the Daoist tonic herb system, with the other two key treasures being Qi & Jing.

Shen is traditionally (roughly) thought of as being your 'spirit' or 'wisdom', responsible for helping to lighten the mood and cultivate calm, deep focus and inner strength.

This skilful blend of top Shen herbs and mushrooms is designed to support your nervous system & immune response while also helping your mind relax, focus and attain better concentration in practices such as meditation, yoga and movement.

SuperFeast Shen BLEND REVIEW BY DARCY - BIRCHER BAR FOUNDER & OWNER:

What I Like About It:

Noticeable Calm & Focus - As indicated by SuperFeast themselves, the Shen blend is specifically formulated to help you drop into deeper states of calm and relaxation to help with better sleep & meditation, as well as 'lighten your spirit'.

I've been using Shen herbs (such as reishi) for sleep and relaxation for many years now, and this Shen blend is a step better again.

I've been using it half an hour before yoga and meditation sessions (noticing much better focus with a better ability to stay 'present'), as well as in conjunction with Yoga Nidra before bed for seriously improved sleep quality (both unbroken and restful).

Love The Taste - Reishi, the primary herb in the Shen blend, is renowned for its bitter flavour, however, the added combination of other Shen herbs in this mix such as longan berry and aged citrus peel give the extract a delicious and slightly sweet orange & berry type flavour. It lends itself to many different recipes - a couple of which I'll detail for you further in this article.

A Masterful Formulation - As with all SuperFeast extracts and offerings, the Shen blend is completely sustainable and ethical to the highest standards. Each ingredient in this mix has been sourced Di Tao from its home growing region and dual extracted for the highest possible potency and effectiveness.

Everything is extensively tested for purity, and everyone in the SuperFeast growing and producing process is treated fairly and warmly.

SuperFeast truly know their craft - I've worked closely with SuperFeast for years and are always confident when speaking to the quality of their extracts and practices.

What I Think Could Be Improved:

In my opinion - there is nothing to 'improve', just note that if you aren't familiar with tonic herbs and medicinal mushrooms that's it's always best to start out with a small dose and see how your body and constitution reacts.

There is nothing 'unsafe' about this blend, it's simply that everyone is different and may have a different response when a new substance is introduced to the body.

Ease yourself in and you ever have any concerns - make sure you contact your GP or medical practitioner for specific advice.

In Summary:

PROS

  • Noticeable effects on mood and focus
  • One of the best tasting tonic herb blends I've come across
  • A guaranteed quality product from a great company

CONS

  • Nothing to speak of other than taking general caution with a new supplement

This particular blend is centred around ingredients that Traditional Chinese Medicine has used for millennia to help calm the mind and foster emotional stability.

When will I see results?:

There is no cut and dry answer for this question as everybody is unique. Some people may feel benefits immediately while for others it may take a couple of weeks to a month before they feel the shifts within their body.
